Welcome to Assumption Volunteers

Poeple outside houseAssumption Volunteers is run by the Religious of the Assumption, a Catholic religious order of women who have been involved for nearly 180 years with young people around the world. Now we offer young adults an opportunity to share their gifts and skills in poor communities, especially with the young, alongside Assumption communities overseas and in the UK.

Empowering the poor and marginalised

All of our projects are broadly education-based. Whether you want to work as a teacher in India, in a creative arts centre in Newcastle or in one of the many community development projects in the Philippines, your role will be to empower the poor, the young and the marginalized.

We're also on Facebook
